ARGUMENTATIVE TEXT : Modes and fraud in the 2024 election

Elections are one of the most important pillars of a country's democracy. A good election is conducted in an honest and fair manner. This requirement is to create a democratic and equitable political system. However, it turns out that the 2024 Election has raised many allegations of fraud.

It is true that elections are a place to express or express the will of the people. Elections also often lead to allegations of potential fraud. Fraud in elections can cause various factors to emerge. One of them can destroy the essence of democracy and undermine people's trust in the electoral process.

The fraud ranges from money politics to allegations of falsification of vote results. The public is increasingly vigilant and critical of this potential fraud. Behind the many allegations of election fraud, the Indonesian Survey Institute (LSI) has conducted a survey of 1,211 respondents and found that the majority of people disagree with the assumption of fraud in the 2024 elections.

However, in fact, many frauds occurred in the last election, ranging from the neutrality of officials, misuse of state facilities, money politics to the provision of staples to the community from the three candidate pairs. In addition, there were allegations from some polling stations, that there was fraud when entering vote result data through the sirekap application, but, apparently this incident was just a user error, because there were provisions for filling in data where each data entered had to be 3 digits. This provision was not directly explained, hence the public support for the alleged election fraud.

Any form of fraud during elections cannot be normalized. Elections are not only a form of democracy. Elections also make us citizens of a mature, honest and fair democracy. Every Indonesian citizen has the right to vote according to their own conscience and responsibility. Therefore, use your voting rights as well as possible to build a better future for the nation.
